Managing Chronic Kidney Disease in Dogs and Cats Presented by Lynda Vermillion, CVT, VTS (SAIM) This lecture discusses the pathophysiology of chronic kidney disease and the role of the veterinary nurse/technician in assisting the veterinarian with sample procurement and handling, patient treatment/hospitalization, and client communication. Successful strategies in dealing with nutrition and at home care will be discussed. Time permitting, attendees will be free to share their experiences with client communication for at home care.
