This lecture will explore rabbit husbandry, nutrition, restraint and venipuncture. We'll cover indoor vs. outdoor housing, proper bedding, environmental enrichment and reading body language. The lecture will discuss nutrition & feeding for bunnies and adult rabbits, how hay is digested and a brief introduction to gastric stasis. We will also focus on proper restraint methods for venipuncture, where and how to draw blood, how much blood you can safely draw and what tubes to use.
